Ashley Massaro has found fame as both a model and as a female wrestler. She was born in Babylon, New York in May of 1979. Her father and her brother were both amateur wrestlers. However, she did not participate in the wrestling world until later in her life. World Wrestling Entertainment is where Massaro would gain fame as both a wrestler and a model. She was introduced to the world of wrestling in 2005 when the WWE hosted a Diva Search to recruit new women wrestlers. Massaro was able to win the competition over several other competitors, and as a result was awarded $250,000 in prize money as well as a one year contract with WWE. Her television debut with World Wrestling Entertainment came during an episode during which other wrestlers who were pretending to welcome her actually attacked her in the ring.  Throughout her time with World Wrestling Entertainment Massaro was well-known for being an opponent of Melina as well as Jillian Hall.

After her stint with World Wrestling Entertainment, Massaro competed on Survivor: China during the 2007 season. In order to compete on this season of Survivor, she had to stop performing for World Wrestling Entertainment so that she could begin filming the season in China. World Wrestling Entertainment staged a scene in which Massaro spilled Vince McMahon’s coffee, and as a result was booted from the show. The real reason she left, though, was in fact to compete on Survivor. She would eventually return to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2008, however.

Reportedly, Massaro had never spent much time in the outdoors before competing on Survivor, and had never even been camping. On the show, she was a member of the Zhan Hu tribe, which included contestant Dave Cruser. The two quickly developed an adversarial relationship, which was most likely a contributing factor to Massaro’s short stint on the show. She was voted off after a mere two episodes.

Prior to hitting it big as a member of World Wrestling Entertainment, Massaro was a frequent participant on the beauty pageant circuit. She was the winner of Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA in 2002 and was again crowned the winner of Miss Hawaiian Tropic, though Canada, this time, in 2004. Her modeling credits include work on many different magazines, including some extremely popular men’s magazines in the United States. She has also appeared in television shows including “Breaking Bonaduce,” “Wild On!,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” and “Smallville.”

Ashley Massaro has been linked  romantically to a fellow wrestler, Matt Hardy. The two, however broke up. Massaro has since been reported to date another wrestler - Paul London. She has one child, a daughter. Her daughter became sick in 2008, and Massaro left the wrestling world in order to take care of her.

One of Massaro’s trademarks is her many tattoos that include a nautical star and a dragon. Tattoo’s of lettering are on both her lower back and her torso. She also has multiple piercing, including on both her upper and lower lips.
